In April 2007, the Urban Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation for the state of Karnataka invited CST - India to do a critical review of the Traffic and Transport Plan for Bangalore, the state’s capital and the epicenter of India’s booming technology industry. CST - India advised Bangalore to pursue a traffic strategy that expands the role of mass transit and improves upon Bangalore’s bus system, run by one of the most efficient bus operators in the country. CST - India’s advice focused on practical and cost-effective ways for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, urban sprawl, and air pollution in Bangalore.
